*We highly recommend to take the water taxi from Hahei Beach to Cathedral Cove, spend some time there, and then enjoy the well paved walk back to Hahei. The water taxi is weather dependent and operates only in summer. The fare is $15 per person one-way. If it doesn't operate on the day of your tour, you can walk to Cathedral Cove and back in about 1.5 - 2 hours.
Another beautiful walk is to the end of the beach and up the hill of Te Pare Historic Reserve to an old Maori Pa Site, offering fantastic views over the rocky coast and the Pacific Ocean.
Either can be done as part of the 4-hour basic tour.
For Hot Water Beach, we will provide up to two spades per group for digging.
